I set off at 4pm to go and set up my game camera over a rabbit warren. I was amazed at the number of rabbits on the plataue. it had only just stopped raining for the first time all day so the rabbits weren't going to take their time on getting a good feed on the lush green grass. I had bow in one hand, game cam in the other. i looked over a few decent spots to put the camera but everytime i went to set it up i said to myself ''theres a better spot then this somewhere'' so i kept moving until i found a nicely used warren that i knew i would get some pictures from. I set up the camera but for some reason it wouldn't take my photo. i thought it must be my 'ugly mug' and it was getting dark so i planned to check it on the way back. i put an arrow on the string and walked along the side of the plataeu spooking about a dozen rabbits into the thick stuff. the light was fading fast so i didnt stop walking until i came around the hill and spotted half a dozen rabbits sitting and chasing each other around a big warren. a couple of the rabbits saw me so i slowly crouched down behind a small rise and carefully made my way around until i was 20m away behind a bush. i picked my bunny, drew back, lined him up and released. THWUMP! and the bunny dropped into his hole, all i could see was the arrow sticking up so i quickly moved over and got hold of the arrow before he pulled it down and out of arms reach. seconds later i pulled the rabbit out and finished it off. I had hit it a little far back, well he moved into my arrow on release resulting in a gut-shot. i was using a P.U.P (pull up point) that Woodstocka gave me ages ago and shot a bunny and he took off and got away with the arrow still in him, a week or so ago i was walking along and spotted the arrow lying where there had been a blackberry bush.....COOL. anyway back to the story. i cut off the back legs and started the walk home. on the way back i found an old arrow (one that i had bought off Woodstocka, must be a Woodstocka week;)) so i picked it up and put it in my quiver, i love finding old arrows and getting the head off them. i got to about 20m away from the camera (out of its range that i have it set on) and it snapped off a photo, im guessing i had spooked a bunny and it had run infront of the camera to get down its hole:D. so tomorrow morning i will head out and get the camera and hopefully have some nice rabbit pics to show you all.
the ferrets got a good old feed of bunny and i had downed my second feral with the new bow.

sorry for babling on and not putting my story together very well but....its something for you to look at:)

Thanks Bruce, and everyone else. i dont like shooting at rabbits past 20m, just because i am confident at hitting them well at that distance and if the shot doesn't come off too well then i can quickly get over and finish it off before it gets into a blackberry bush or down its hole.
