Yeah, they seem to be the shizzle.
I dont think many people have fired one because they're so new, but wow.
They do look awesome.
If I ever feel like changing to a release aid, I'd definitely be getting one of these

I shot Johnno's X-Force on the weekend, which is the original model, it is set at 65# and it drew smoother than my Katera which was set at 55# at the time. Talk about fast, definitely the bow to have in my book.

I have three X-Force 6. mine shoots a IBO arrow at 345fps. The SS would be a great bow........if you were 4ft.tall and had a very short draw length.:D IMO.

i had a talk to one of the guys at the archery shop about the SS, he said its ok for shots out to 30-35m but any further than that the super short size of it makes it too easy to screw shots, not forgiving like a bigger bow, he also said that it felt like a 100 pound recurve when shot, heaps of hand shock. I have the HF6 X Force and its bloody sweet, no issues at all

hey goshawk, good to see you settled on the XF6, I'm sure your loving it :)

I have shot (over range, over a week or so) the SS XF and I will say (IMO) it hasn't got anything on the 'regualr' XF 6 or the XF Dreamseason.

I could shoot 'ok' at 20-25-30, but not comfortable or easy to shoot.

Look at a Dreamseason or a XF6, they are really great hunting bows, and at low 30's inches they are no hassles what-so-ever in the bush.

I've always laughed about guys wanting really short axel-to-axel bows because they rekon it is too hard with say a 36+ inch bow in the scrub. Yet there are plenty of guys, and damn good bowhunters that are using 66+ recurves and 70" longbows!

that was my gut feeling to but i was just having a look at it and it looks pretty sweet

There are few things that have to be taken into account with an X Force of any description but the biggest by far is "do you have a press for this bow".
They are not easily pressed and a "regular" press won't cut the mustard, a very simple job like changing the string or putting in a peep can me a major headache. If you or your local archery shop does not have a press that easily presses this bow then you would be better off with another bow. Why the SS? Bows under 32" are great for midgets and thats about it IMHO how tall are you and whats your draw length?

Would a bow press like the nitehawk be any good if you were to get a SS ?

I am not sure but when Johnno broke a string on his X Force and the bow fully relaxed, ie no sring and cables it was almost 43" ATA you couldn't press that bow in a regular press.I put it in my Ezy Press and it was a piece of cake but we had to press it a very long waaaaaaay.PSE uses Ezy Presses at their factory. I am not sure a bout the nitehawk you would have to have a lot of adjustment on it. The cables would have to be able to reach 43" and then press it to about 33" thats ten inches of travel.:confused:Not sure about the SS. I Still can't undertsand why anyone would want a bow that size.:o
PS. I recently tried an X Force7 and it was a really nice bow to draw and shoot. It would be my pick of the PSE range for hunting and 3D.

I "think" these short ATA bows are mainly aimed at the US tree stand market...handy when your up a tree..but very unforgiving if your not IMO....

Sure here is the link. Bloody expensive though but it works really well on all bows you and you will never need another press:P. What I really like about it is you can leave all the accessories on your bow and still press it. http://www.lastchancearchery.com/EZ%201.html

I have made some enquiries as I am very impressed with this press after having used Rins. If you order through a dealer it will cost about $680.00 AUD to your door and a bit more expensive if you order it direct. Its the ONLY press I would use on an X-Force, or any other bow for that matter as it presses from the tips of the limbs and not the arms of the limbs. It is extremely welll made and it may well be next on my "santa" list !!

BTW I can see no real advantage in the SS from the normal HF X-F unless you plan to hunt from trees or other extremely confined locations...;)

i'm a guy like me

The pse website has a list of approved presses for the x-force.

I've shot my dad's X Force a bit and do like it. Its not as forgiving as some bows but is very smooth and quick. I didnt like the grip as it was a bit narrow for my liking but thats personal choice. I also thought the valley was a little short but again thats just personal choice, altogether though a very nice bow.
