i had a look for previous threads about this bow but couldn't find what i am looking for so... can someone that has one tell me what they think about the speed force and answer some questions...
can you change the draw length with out a bow press?
do you get limb pockets problems... like the old martin i used to have every now and then you would have to do it up again cos it came undone and lost poundage?
how quiet is it?
how tough are the limbs?
what kind of quiver mount does it have or what quivers does it accept?

help is much welcomed... thanks dave

Pivoting limb pockets and 354IBO....found that much in one minute....google it..theres heaps of sites and US forums discussing it....the photo was vague..but it lookes like bolt on mods...cheers.

I think they have the same type of cams as my Stiletto which allow the draw length to be changed without a press. As it is a fairly new model I doubt many people have them.

If you are serious about getting one give the importers a call and ask a few questions. I don't know how long you have been shooting or what skill level you are at but a be aware that 350fps bow isn't always the easiest to shoot. 350fps comes at a price there is no such thing as a free lunch.
I have shot some fast bows that are absolute pigs to shoot ie Mathew Black Max2 with turbo cam. One of the nicest bows I have shot is the Hoyt Ultraelite at 305fps it is slow by todays standards buy a joy to shoot.

I would rather have an easy bow to draw and shoot than a speed demon dog of a thing.

The xforce SS isnt 350FPS, its 330 FPS.
Still pretty fast though.

so are you saying this bow isn't the nicest bow to shoot... is the draw cycle really rough? i don't think it could be to bad i have heard a lot of people say that it is quite nice but then again the trykon is pretty rough (IMO) and people say the same. the bow i have ATM is rated at 309fps and feels like a dog to me but i think it would only be doing about 270fps or something so a speed force on 65-70lbs would be a bit different but nothing you can't get use to (i took a bit to get used to the draw cycle on my bow but now i am used to it i love it)

and BTW... howie have you actually shot ths bow or are you just saying that about it being a demon dog... is it...? it would be nice to hear more peoples opinions

Why..based on you other posts..i.e. problems you were having with a WB rest..that ended up be a very looooong and drawn out saga..you virtually ignored any advice given and ultimately it required the intervention by Luke to close the thread. Generally you present as a very obstinate young man..so you will probably disregard any advice given by much older, wiser and experienced on this forum. The general content of the questions you ask suggest you are a novice archer and a 354ibo bow is NOT for a novice archer as has already been pointed out to you. There is absolutely NO point in asking a question, unless your prepared to accept the answer

DavidJHardy

yeah sorry about that johnno i think i learned my lesson there... i'm all ears... i accept the fact that i am a novice and did not know that fast bows aren't a good idea for novices can someone tell me why?

Mate..Dont worry about IBO and all that crap...just get a bow you can handle...if it feels good..draws smooth...it'll do your job....you'll be a better hunter with a draw cycle you can handle..than a monster bow that shoots broomhandles at a million miles an hour, but makes you grunt like Maria Sharapova every time you try and draw it;)...they'll hear you comin and bolt:rolleyes:

kal_mike

As stated I have a HCA bow with similar cams, there is no doubt that it has an agressive draw thats where the power comes from you draw the full weight all the way to the very narrow valley. In saying that I find it quite easy to use as the draw is consistant all the way without any lumps. With the longer ATA (mine is only 31") of the speed force should go alright, but the old advice should always apply that is try before you buy if at all possible...

yeah guys i only started this thread cos i wanted to find out a bit about them just to get a wider view on the range of bows and think they look like a pretty tanky bow...but yeah i am going to try before i buy...(if i do buy)... i just thought i would see if i could find out the quality of there make... and i don't mind a harsh draw cycle so if i can handle the power then i think it looks like a prospect for the future

out of interest what would a speed force be doing on 65lbs @ 28.5'' with a vapor hunter whitetail 400 8.9gpi roughly around 410grains??

What is the finish like on your model and have you has any problems with it?

kal_mike
19-07-08, 07:46 PM
The finish is OK not great the grip looks a bit unfinished and the paint has chipped off the cams. I think mine was built about the time the new owners took over which by all accounts has turned the brand around. I have had no problems with the bow and have put a few thousand shots through it.

You make no sence. On minute your baggin your own bow and then saying that you love it!

I for one if i thought my bow was a dog to shoot I'd be getting rid of it.
If it's a dog it's a dog there's no loving it. But hey thats JMO.

yeah hood i see why you got confused there...LOL maybe i used the wrong word oops... i meant it doesn't seem all that fast to me compared to other bows i have shot maybe i should have said ''the bow i have now is rated at 309fps but does not feel all that fast to me'';)

Hey Dave, mate I am only new to this sport (maybe 18 months in after a long absence). I am currently shooting a PSE Stinger and finding that whilst its slow, noisy and inexpensive compared to others on the market, its still a bow and it gets me out in the bush just about every weekend. I have taken rabbits and goats (OK, a goat) and nearly a fox with my bow...it doesnt really matter whether you have the fastest or latest model mate, all that matters is that it gets you out bowhunting!

You still may be able to make some sales yet.
That is if they are adjustable for filtering other potential dribblers. :P:P
If so what modifications need to be made if any? :P:P
And does removing any of the sheets alter it's ability to filter the heavier dribblers?

Ok I'm done now.

Consider the Ross, i own an 07 Cardiac and it is the best bow i have ever shot. It is smooth reliable and powerful.
i have really enjoyed shooting it.

The Ross are great for what i hunt..up to deer..and prob suit much larger game...but if i lived up north and hunted buff for instance it'd be pretty hard to go past an x force...suppose it depends on preference..and use..

How do the they compare to the Elite Synergy?
I had the Elite Synergy, it was a nice bow. The GT500 is the best Elite I've owned, smooth to draw, fast, and a tack driver. having a single track for both cables, the cams sit up reasonably straight. I'm waiting for a Ninja to arrive from the Aust. supplier.:)
