wrist ones are very good, try and find one where the bar folds back into the inside of your arm. They can get very anoying when crawling or climbing.

mate that looks good but a cheaper and better option (IMO) is the primos 44. caliper release i have one and there golden and it was only $75 and they have a life time warranty
first time I have heard a bad report about a scott release.
Thats why i brought it in the first place only heard nothing but good things about them, but yeah...

What was actually "playing up" with your scott release? What model scott?
Ive got the Mongoose, the lips are playing up when they "lock" in and i squeeze the trigger they dont always release. Drives me nuts

Unlucky Mick, I've never heard a bad word either with the scotts. But I have had the same thing happen on a cheap release I borrowed a while back so I know what you mean-I had no idea what was going on, I waited a few seconds then it scared the hell out of me when dropped the loop.
LOL tell me about it i had it release half way through my draw back, the brooze i had wasnt pretty.
I REALLY like my Carter 2 shot....;)

Ive got a Truefire...not as flash as that model..but a good release...i prefer my Scott mongoose over it...try washing the junk out of it..blow out with comp air if poss...remove the head and lube it all up with some fine oil..then dry off any excess..i did mine last week...reckon it'll outlast me.

What I don't like about the Scott, is the rolling sear, and the trigger travel after the shot. I have owned a stack of them, I think I still have three or four.
I mainly shoot the Carter Quickie 1+ and the Carter 2 shot now.
My choice of the Truball would be the Short and Sweet, reason being, you don't sacrifice draw length, which could mean another 10fps.

Iam so happy with it that we decided tostock them.

I use a Winn Freeflight hook-it's easy on the shoulder.

mitchy there good hey i have one (the primos) and love it... never let me down so far
get some WD 40 and give it a spray, the spring and trigger system require some maintenance if they get wet or dirty. this helped my release

I REALLY like my Carter 2 shot....;)
I'll 2nd that. Good strong dependable release. You can't go wrong with.:)
I don’t like the buckle on the one you posted the link for, I can recall a few times when I have been caught without my release on and had to strap it on while running to get into position, mostly when driving and you spot something on the way in. Buckle would be a pain in the butt IMO. I like the Velcro on my Scott.
i have the tru ball stinger, and i reckon its great i've had no problems with
