I was wondering if anyone here suffers form being Longsighted and what if any solution you have come up with?
I have tried Contacts; glasses; glasses & Contacts & while the glasses have given me the best result they are still not perfect.

May be to give up the compound and go to a recurve or Tad bow

What sort of sight are you using? I thing there are some hunting sights that will let you put a scope on them, similar to target sight, but you still use your pins, I believe it is sword, but not absolutely sure. May be some one else could help out there?

I have a spott-hogg Hogg-It with 0.010 pins.
I'm willing to try almost anything even an eye transplant if anyone wants to donate :P Do they do those yet?

I've spoken to a few people today and may have an answer. Speacilty Archery have added a Verifier for the Super Ball Peep to there collection.
All I have to do is find someone in Brisbane or SEQ that the range in stock so I can try them.

Heres the link if anyones interested

Long sighted or Hyperopia. Basically you have trouble focusing on things that are close but still have perfect long vision. :(
The following web sight goes into a bit more detail.

The best i can work out Treker...the standard clarifier suits most scope lenses and used mainly for 2x...as the clarifier power increases for higher scope magnifications..your scope dot will fade and needs to be larger...the most powerful clarifier..to suit 6x scopes will totaly fade your scope pin..so a larger scope dot needs sticking to the lense...these may be different to the verifier...maybe the clarifier is for scope lenses and the verifier is for open pins???...not sure..maybe one of the guys who work at a shop may be able to help..it looks like one of those things best tested to your needs...good luck.

I am long sighted myself and a southpaw heh. Best of both worlds. I recommend seeing a specialist optometrist/opthalmologist if not already and explain your problem clearly to the doctor. My groups have shrunk in half and am competent to 50 metres now. Go and talk to a doctor and you will be suprised. Good luck.

George Can you tell me what solution your optometrist came up with? How well are you seeing your pins?
My Optometrist has been extremely helpful. After a couple of failures has come up with a lense from ZEISS. These are suppose to be the latest and greatest as they give a wider field of view & while they have greatly improved my vision both long and close but they are still not what I had hoped for.

My long vision is gone so i have to wear glasses. I am looking at laser treatment but cant afford it atm. The sight that i use is a toxonic 3x magnification. I am so accurate with it and recomend it to any one who wants to improve thier groups.
