Went out for another walk last week with simon as he was testing out some new victory shafts and pretty keen to get them dirty. We walked out into some different country but the same place we went last time and only found one mob. He put a magnus snuffer ss through this young billy and put him down in no time.

billy had a 29 inch spread but no curl

Here is a pick up on the biggest ridge looking over the foot hills. simon was ranging some nannies at the bottom of the cliff below us. another miserable day, you can see the misty rain in the background.

I took my recurve out for the walk but never got a chance. I'll be going out again in the next couple days to see if i can't drop one for myself.

That goat has some wild looking eyes.I like that wide style of horn in a few of your pics mate.Im chasing one at the moment that has really wide horns with very little curl but they have grown upward similar to a big set of chopper handle bars, hes a wild looking goat .will try and atleast get a pic of him next time im out there.

Goat looks like he has contacts on. Were you testing out some heavy shafts by chance??

Not this time Shane. These were just a normal arrow combination of around the 450 grain mark. Will no doubt try some different combinations over the coming weeks before heading to Darwin in September. Looking a using the Victory shafts still, just not sure what we'll try to get the weights a fair bit higher.

Good to see your not letting those goats rest up too much Macka.
Looking forward to the pics of you with some nice recurve goats
