View Full Version : bowstring life
Gday everyone.Just a quick question.I recently aquired a darton maverick that has been sitting unused for 4 or 5 years. What I want to know is,do you think the string would be ok?I mean it looks fine but as yet I havent used the bow,and wanted some opinions on wether to err on the side of caution and get a new string first or just go out and try it?I havent shot any kind of bow for at least that period of time but I`m now keen as to get back into it.
Cheers,Matt

I'd go a new string too, just to be safe, i mean they say to replace your string every year so if it's been 4-5 years i would defiantly get a new one put one. try bling strings I've heard they are pretty good.

New string for sure
for the cost of a new string, buy one, its alot better than having it break whilst drawing your bow and punching yourself fair in the chops!! Now that can spoil your day or even worse breaking your bow.
Whats that saying, Been there Done that........
Cheers fella`s,thought that may be the best way but easiest to ask first.
that's what we are here for. when you get the new string get some string wax as well, keep it well waxed and you shouldn't have a drama
