hunt or be hunted

After re-sighting in my bow after my peep coming out. i was shooting better than usual so i grabbed the camera and walked to my rabbit property. i was all geared up and ready for some action. I walked the first part of the plataue not getting to have a shot. i crossed the fallen down fence and was keeping a close eye out for any movement around the warrens ahead.
A few times i got to press record on the camera only to have all the rabbits drop down their holes when i drew. i was getting annoyed just wasting the tape so i knew the next one i hit the button on would get smashed. I concealed myself infront of a bush 10m away from a big warren that has a few kittens getting about in it. I waited for about 3minutes when a good bunny popped out of its hole. i got the camera set up and hit record. as i went to draw it went back down, damn. i waited another couple of minutes and a kitten came out of the hole closest hole to me at a later measured 12m. i waited a bit and when the time was right i hit record and came to full draw, i lined him up with my top pin and released. the arrow hit and it pinned him to the side of the hole. pictures were taken and i started the walk home.

I stopped at a spot where i over look an open patch in the middle of heaps of blackberrys. often rabbits will come out and feed in the open, sometimes giving me a shot. I had to wait around 5-10minutes before i got a shot and i stuffed it by hitting low. I went around to get my arrow when i spotted two rabbits feeding at the bottom of a bank about 300m away so i put another arrow on the string and made my way in. i got about 10m from the edge of the bank when i noticed a rabbit staring me in the eyes. i crouched down and got the camera set up on her. i drew and raised, putting my 30m pin a little low i hit the released, she rolled over. i had to finish her off because she moved at the shot but it was clean.
she was a big old bunny and she gave the ferrets a good feed.

on the last part of the walk i saw a bunny under a thick bush/tree. i thought i might aswell have a ping as it was facing front on. i put the 40m pin on the right spot and took the shot, i just missed but was still happy with the shot.
