I am from the Oklahoma and have been living in Port Hedland W.A. for almost 3 years now.
I truly miss chasing deer and elk back home. I have been told there are a few pigs around the Degray area about an hour north of Port Hedland. My question is, do you have to have a license or a permit to own Archery equipment in Western Australia?
Being from the states, I am not use to having to obtain a license for a Firearm let alone archery gear. I just want to make sure I am 100% legal before I get my gear sent over.
Fishing in Port Hedland is great, but fishing can only take you so far. I need to get my primal instinct charged again. I wouldn't mind bowfishing for some sharks, but I am not sure if that is legal either. Any help or info on the above would be appreciated.

No license to own or use archery equipment.
If you get it sent over it will clear customs fine.
I recently purchased a bow from USA.

As for bow fishing you will have to ask some WA guys or ring whoever contols WA fishing laws.

No licence required, but I have encountered many folks who presumed otherwise.

There was a discussion on 'archery forum' last week about the grey areas with the bow laws for WA...cant remmember the actual details offhand..but if you check it out it will still be listed on there...
