Out For A Hunt Today What Could Do This

Hi all went out for a hunt today looking for sambar.found some good spots that i will be keeping a eye on.Big open grass areas and some rub trees.got a shock when i was walking just about to stand on a wallaby he jumped up outter no wear just about had to go home and change my jocks.:P I came to this small green patch what do you think may have done this. In the mud was lots of deer prints,deer,wombat,i think maybe wombats but looks like some pics i have seen on hear after pigs have bean their.???????.
Going out tomorrow again to see what i can find hopeing this time the rain will stop for me..

Wombats pull on the grass with their feet, like raking leaves. Pigs push at the grass with their snout and are digging to get to the roots (to eat them or the grubs that eat the roots.

Thanks Jindy. I often see that kind of mess, especially around heavily bracken'd areas and wonder what its is caused from.

Yeh could be lyerbirds we get a few up that area. but seemed a big mess for lyerbirds.
