Well After seeing that nice twisty billy which i estimated to be mid 30's i decided to go out again yesterday for another look and see if i could bag him. It was about 1130 when i first saw him but trouble was he had seen me to. He took off collecting goats as he went and i followed him and the mob of about 100 at a jog for about 15km and finally at 2:30 pm he gave me another chance at a stalk. I stalked in on him and ran out of covour at about 50m and as i stepped out from behnid the bush he was looking at me. I thought this might be my last chance becuse he might not miss next muster so i settled the pin on his front shoulder because he was quartering on to me and touched off the shot. It shot about 3 inches to the right of where i aimed and went in his neck and out his oposite shoulder. He simply roled down the hill. It was a bit dissapointing when he only streatched to 31 but he was an awsome set and 103dp and my best goat to date. And beacuse of the sweat and blood it took to bag him he means soo much more to me. Its hard when only after one goat out of the mob of 100. I couldnt get over his body size he stood a good half a foot higher than all the other billies. I just hope he has a big brother out there. anyway enough dribble here he is.
