Well on a hunt the other day with my brother. we cxame across a mob that saw us and took off. But they left one goat there he was sleeping and wasnt going anywhere. we thought it wouldnt be right to shoot it so i got some footage of my bro catching it. here it is.. anyone else had a similar experiance. we thought he might have been blind or deff but he was fine.

Well done that looks like it was a bit of fun excellent photos That goat must have been well asleep or something wrong as usually their a bit more alert.I bet he kicked like hell when your brother grabbed him it wouldve taken a bit to hang onto.
Cheers Emu

Mate thats great, i once stalked up behind a wallaby and touched it on the back, it turned and looked at me paueds for a second ( not sure what was going on) jumped about 6ft high turned in the air ran about 40m stoped and looked back at me.

The look it gave me when it first turned around was priceless almost like disbelief :D

yeah i got a good laugh out of it too. I have seen it a couple times before though. Once brownie and i were stalking in on a mob bedded down and they got up and started feeding but there was one billy still there sleeping. daniel stalked in and shot it from about 2m. And another time this mob of goats got our wind and took off but left a black billy lying there asleep. he jumped 3 feet in the air when my brother shot over him with the rifle. so it must happen a bit or the goat i hunt are just plain stupid!

I have seen it a few times myself. One particular memory was a huge billy west of Bourke,we had been hunting goats and pigs for about 5 days and had about 14 trophy and record class billies between 2 of us plus a few young ones we had butchered and put in the staion freezer to take home after the hunt.

We had followed a mob of a couple of hundred goats off a bore drain up onto a sand ridge where my mate had downed a ripper goat of 39 inch spread and as he approached it to have a look at the horns he grabbed one horn to pick the head up,it came to life and belted him in the centre of the chest running straight over top of him.His goat had gone about another 20 metres and had died behind a woody weed bush.He had got hold of a real old billy that had been sleeping. It was so damn funny to see the look on both their faces I reckoned I chuckled for a month afterwards.
