[Trophy Bowhunts]

Well we are back from the inaugral Bowhunting Comp.....Apart from the annoying rain we received which slowed things down all went well with 8 out of the 10 hunters achieving their P/B's.

Stories will be coming out in Bowhunting Downunder and hopefully a DVD will be available at a later date...

Correct me if IÃ*m wrong but I thought ABA record class start at 30 DP, and Trophy class is from 24 to 29 6/8, but if you know the size (score) why bother with a imaginary cut off point where someone tells you what is a record and what is a trophy?

There all trophies in my book, the score just assigns them a level on a list somewhere IMO.

I think you'll find the DP scoring system was utilized as a way of assigning competition points to participants in bowcomp...

Of course all game taken are trophies this was seen none more obviously in camp all kills were celebrated and commended with as much enthusaism and cheer as any other...from my lowly piglet, to the best boar taken at 30+ DP's...from the cat Matty took to Jody's first boar...

T.C is Trophy 25pts up to 29 4/8's the from 29 6/8's and up is RC. That is for records of comparing game, and you are right about it doesn't matter what it is as I believe any animal shot with a both is a Trophy in it's own right, but don't get on anybody's back if they like them measured, MHO.
