last night i caught up with eggs and went and found some rabbit holes. we were using his one male ferret. We would put the ferret down the holes then sit back and try and get a shot at the rabits that came out. It was good fun and we managed 5 with all headshots besides one. We were getting them for the pot so thats where we were aiming.

And on the way home i stopped off at a scrub where there are a few bunnies and managed to shoot this one from 30m.

Who else has tried this? and what were your results. We found that if there is only one lone warren and a bit of covour around they just run out and sit there in the grass. bit where there are lots of holes you position a hunter at other lots of holes and they have running shots as they run towards them. It would have been awsome if i still had my longbow.
