G'day,
What can one use behind ones target, when one misses ones target? In order to stop the arrow before killing ones neighbours?
Thanks mate,

hmm
preferably have the target in a position where when one misses,it cant possibly kill ones neighbours
maybe a brick wall ,not your neighbours,or a dirt wall or possibly a very high wall made of sleepers(railway sleepers),not sleeping neighbours

HA HA HA LMFAO!!
My neighbours arent quite as smart as sleepers.
But seriously :D
Is their some kind of mat-shadecloth- like material, that'll stop a fast arrow?
At the club, indoors, they have hessian. But the faster arrows go thru it.
One values ones contributions.What.

I reckon carpet might do it, but it might be to heavy to hang up.I reckon I need something lighter. But dunno what!

We have 15mtr indoor range in store, the firing line gives you about 11max, however we use the following; phonebooks (laying flat shooting into the loose pages, not the front or backs!! side on is most important.)
layer of carpet in front of the phone books, then 6 - 8 inches of foam. This pulls up a carbon from a switchback no problems at all.
Hope this helps
You could try a couple of layers of the older carpet underlay or the stuff removalists use to wrap around stuff.
Just a thought or shed!

I have often heard it said,"If you have to shoot in your yard, put your butt against your house."
I use a wool bale with carpet on the front then off down to the local electrial store and raid their bin for all the packing boxes from fridges washers and big tv then cut to size and layer them inside and fill the middle section about a 400mm with the styrofoam that comes in as packing seem to stop them no worries.

I have used old carpet in the past but you will need 8 to 10 layers of it.
Of course this is for field points only
GĂ*day
Go and get some conveyer rubber. Its heavy but I was only getting 10in of penetration from 10m out of my 80lb Bowtech , the rubber was 16mm thick.
Hope this helps

I have 2 wool bales filled with plastic, shopping bags etc.I have the bales on top of each other sitting on a couple of pieces of 4x4 pine.I then have a large piece of carpet covering them.I have never had any problems with the arrows being stopped and the highest poundage bow that has been shot at it was 76lb.
I use 2 large masonite sheets (2m X 2m) with layers of carpet and underlay (alternate) in between (3 or 4 all up), all held together with large self taping screws.
The masonite 'grabs' the arrow and the carpet & underlay slow it down.
