G'day,
I am trying to put my NAP 4000 onto my Switchback. But cant work out how to set it up in relation to timing it,and basically getting it to work.I've got the instructions for the C.S and windage etc, but need to find out how to set up the lift and drop away feature. Any advice (or websites even) gratefully accepted.
Thanks,
Mark

Do you have the special arm that comes out for the mathews? if not ,you have to take the arm that pulls the cable up off.replace it with a little plate [such as a lizard tongue]with two holes, have the plate facing the strings, serve a cord on to the buss cable ,put the other end through the hole in the plate, draw the bow, have someone pull the end of the cord until the launcher is right up, mark the cord with a pen, where it goes through the plate, let down, tie it off a little shorter, done.
ground hog day :D

Wareagle ,
I emailed NAP a while ago about getting the bits they use for the 2000RG model ,but no luck.
I'll give that a try,but dont like my chances.
I do have the little clamp that comes with the cable slide.I THINK I could adapt that with a small nut and bolt.
But getting it to lift and lower, theirs a challenge!!
Thanks ,
Mark

Mark ,Its a piece of cake, take the block off that the cable pulls up, put the screw back in the hole, tie a cord a hand span down the buss cable, then on to the screw.
For my SB I use the Mathews dropaway, as good as it gets. :)

Wareagle,
I tried this, and it SEEMS to be working.
I ran the wire cable backwards thru the block,,only once,I also turned the block around so its upside down , so it came out of the top hole. Then down to the cable, where I secured it by the wire clamp it came with (less the cable guide, but with a nut ) and clamped it to the down cable.
I fired it a couple of times ,and it looks ok.But I may use rope instead of wire, and serve it instead of clamp it.
Waddaya reckon?
Think it'll work? :D

:D A more reliable method would be to use a plate the length of the block with a 2mm rope and a spring about 1/2in long ,tied some where in the middle.
With a plate, you can bend it, to get the angle right.
That wire cable is unforgiving and unreliable.
with the 2mm cord, I burn the end to get a ball , and tie a single knot in the plate and in the spring, I also burn a ball on the other end that I serve to the buss cable.

Yep Wareagle,
I dont think that the wire is so good, but it'll get me going. I'll use some release rope? How would that work?
Use photobucket. Its the only one I could figure out!!
