hey guys i was wondering if it is possible to fix a carbon arrow?because iv got some and near were the nock goesin there is cracks and im to scared to use them incase they shatter any suggestions
thanks jesse
Is it a critical length that if you cut it off would make the arrow to short for you to shoot? If not cut it, otherwise I would be hesitant to use them.

Don't just throw them in the cupboard and forget about them. Cut them and then store them away. You don't ever want to be forgetting that those ones are sus, or just be short and feel tempted to take them along.
if you cut them you can always swap them later with someone wanting shorter shafts.

Here is how I fix carbon arra's that have cracks or splits in them.
1: take the arrow in both hands be shore to hold the arrow by the very ends and that you grip firmly.
2: raise hands with arrow above your head.
3: very quickly lower your hands as you raise your knee you will feel a little bit of pain in your knee and hear a loud cracking noise.
Once hearing the cracking noise and feeling the pain you know the arrow is fixed so that you will never use it again.
Woodstoka damaged carbons can cause serious damage to the archer using them if in doubt DON"T use them. Unless you are 100% sure they are not damaged don't shoot them from your bow. Somewhere on this site is a pic of what can happen when they break on shooting them.

I keep mine and give them to a shorter draw archer,He's never had to buy a target arrow for a couple of years now.

roll the shafts between your fingers and flex them hard at the same time.
if you feel or hear any cracks or weak spots throw them away.
if you fire a carbon arrow and it shatters
and some pieces end up in your arm,
the pieces cannot be detected by x ray.
i think thats pretty scary.
