this months specials

considering the goodly ammount of aussie archers that read the forums here, i was wondering if it is a good place for retailers to advertise some monthly specials on archery gear. each store need only have a couple of lines for sale that month, but im sure they'd sell some stuff. most of us are looking for a bargain. stores could turn over genuine bargains that need moving. be a good way for this web site to grow also. it would soon become known for the monthly specials in the archery fraternity. admin need only email participating stores for their specials 'this' month.

I think the idea is not as good as it sounds unless they pay some sponsorship fee..We already have archery suppliers that sponsor the sight so I don't think it would be very fair for them...

I agree 100% Sparra, obviously the supplier would have to contribute to the well-being/upkeeping (monetary needs) of the site.

I was more thinking a page for Kimall and co. to flog monthly deals.

so how about the forum sponsors are approached with the idea? if other stores see its merit, perhaps they could become new forum sponsors too.
hell, the more forum sponsors the better, better for us (the buyers), better for the forum, better for the sponsors (more retail traffic and buyer awareness), better for the majority.

another thought. perhaps there are other gear suppliers whom can be invited without stepping on sponsors toes. eg; hunting boots etc, cooking gear, fishing gear, electric eskys , hell camping equip!, knife makers , gps!!, and much more i cant think of that is not strictly archery. im not talking online store,(not a bad idea but) just monthly specials from a variety of hobby/archery related wholesale/retailers that need move some stock at bargain prices. (and it will be all ours, uuuuggggghhhh, major dribble). who knows where it may lead?! :D
