I currently have pneumonia :( so I am spending WAAAAYYYYY too much time in front of my computer.

Found this today and thought it might suit anyone who shoots at last light or has ever busted bunnies at night.

You will need to scroll down a bit, but a poster called "huntaholic" goes into a fair amount of detail and his pics do show it well. :)

Cheers, Dave.

Now that is bright, there would be no trouble finding that in the dark.

I do a bit of hunting at night under the full moon and I use those tiny cylume sticks(smaller than a match stick) that you get from tackle shops.

When I start a hunt,I then use a small piece of cellotape to tape the activated cylume to the nock.

It glows for hours, dosen't interfere with the arrows flight and makes finding an arrow an easy task.

"The Reject Shop" in Belconnen Mall, Canberra has them, $2 for a packet of 2. The brand name is "Line Lites", green appetising light, (or red and amber I think), or you can buy a box set which has a heap of them, plus a hat for $12. You also get some plastic snot moulded into the shape of an unconvincing fish, it's really icky.

They run for about 12 hours, and are pretty bright.

I just read the back of the packet.. designed in Australia they say!.. http://www.danozdirect.com.au/MintDigital.NET/Products.aspx?XmlNode=%2fSystem%2fProducts&ProductId=755. But wait, there's more!. :)

You can buy a box of 20 4" Snap Lights like your fishing ones for $2.00 at Cheap shops and the supermarkets IGA i bought a few boxes of them.

Ive thought of also making LED glowing lights that you could see through your knock, id never shoot a knock thats damaged or altered in anyway, i like my arm without arrows in it please. but if its that dark you need glowing knocks you would also need glowing Animals to shoot, unless your spotlighting.

jay the idea of the glowing nocks is not to shoot at dark, its if u say shoot close to last light u could have two postives, a. u have agood hit and ur game takes a run with the arrow in it,u may see the nock glowing and find ur game easier,or u either hit ur game and have a good pass through or even a miss, again u can find ur arrow, determine if u had a hit or not, plus finding ur $15.oo plus arrow.
i shoot quite a few boars up here often on carcass and their peek time is first light and last light...i am waiting on delivery of some nock kits from the states which are way cheaper than the big name brands...if u have a look at some of the videos of lighted nocks u might be impressed...
...cheers pat... :D :D
