1.6" vanes for target?

G'day,

I've got some 1.6" AAE Elite vanes ,and was wondering if they'd be any good for fletching to some target arrows?
Do you reckon they'd be too short?
They would be on some 29" arrows (Like Axis'ss) fairly small diameter, with 100gr. field points.
