Nice photos mate! With 12x magnification, you should be able to take excellent wildlife shots. Can you give us some more details about the camera? I'm going to buy one myself soon, but I don't know which one to get. I'd like a waterproof one.

Yes Mick it should be great in the bush on the animals.I did lots of research before buying this one and decided that the optical zoom was the most important thing and it had to be 5 meg for the shots I want to blow up.I alos wanted it to be small enough to put in a little pouch on the front of my belt so I can get it out one handed when stalking in close.
It does very well on its rechargable battery with me taking 150 shots in two days and not needing to recharge it.It comes with pretty basic software but it is ample for normal processing jobs.It has a Leica lens so it is nice and clear and image stabalizing which helps at the longer end of the tele lens. All in all I am VERY happy with the results of the pics taken with this camera as I am still taking most pics in dumbo mode but they come out great. The price is about $650

Thanks fellas!! It looks great. I was thinking about buying a more compact model though. I suppose you just can't get something with that sort of performance in a smaller package.

I'll probably end up buying a compact one with 4x capabilities for around $300.

Whats the 35mm lens equivalent on your camera Adam, that fox pic is nice and wide :D
I recently purchased a Fuji 9500, though I am yet to give it a real workout.
By the way, they're some great pics. :)

Thanks ds, gotta love framing game on the wall.

36mm to 432mm in the optical 12x

the fuji should be an excellent camera mate.

Love the picture of the snake Kimal.

Yer thanks for the comments guys. The interesting thing with the snake is that it is only about as thick as your thumb even though it looks much bigger than that. The one downside of this camera is I use up my b/band max much sooner sending pics around the place. :D
I got that one as it was a bit smaller than its bigger brother and this allows me to carry it on my belt when hunting so if it is not an animal I want to shoot with the bow I have the camera handy to take a pic instead.
