Bought a couple of packets of these to see how they compare to the judo points. These things are awesome, they fly like darts and they hit real hard.
I noticed it first when I put a few into my target, they give it a real thump. Penetration is not as deep as the judo, which is what I was looking for.
Tried them on a few bunnies on the weekend and the poor little cottontails did not stand a chance. Impact alone would be an instant lights out, which I felt was better than the judo. The edges can be sharpened but I cant see any advantage to this. I have no doubts that one of these in the ribs would kill a fox.
Real good gear.
Cheers, Dave.

Have you done any testing to see how they perform at acute angles into grass? The main reason I like Judos is that they don't bury in under the grass, never to be seen again. The spring arms on Judo heads ensure
that most times the arrow will "kick up" and be visible at least.
They look very good though. I'm very interested in them because I do lots of rabbit hunting in long grass.
Thanks for the heads up. I've never seen them before. How much are they and where did you buy them from? :D
Mick
They look good dave, I wouldn't mind trying some of them for hunting geese up here where can I get them from?

Mick I took one out the paddock to test it for you and in grass about 6" long it cartwheeled and was easily found sitting on top.
I bought them at Cabelas (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0032836417063a&navCount=6&podId=0032836&parentId=cat600306&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21424&catalogCode=QS&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat600306&hasJS=trueurl) but if I knew who sold G5 out here I would probably get them in Aus.

I can say I have used their products alot and they are first rate, but the cost allways nails your wallet shut about $60.00 for 3 G5 Montec 125gr.

Went for a walk this evening and shot a hare and a rabbit with the SGH. These things are so much better than judo points it has to be seen to be believed.
Both animals were taken at 25 metres and the hare spun 360 degrees with the impact and collapsed, the rabbit managed to get about a metre before expiring. The arrow never exited either animal, which is what a few people have been complaining about with the judo points.

I am ordering some more so if anyone wants some pm me and I can add it to my order.
Geez, You'd reckon that a bolt with a couple of wingnuts threaded onto it would be nearly as good, by the look of that thing. :)
Nice looking knife you've got there Dave...... :D :D
