So guys and girls, what is your towns claim to fame and why do you live there???
Be it a tourist attraction, industry or the yobbo locals

Living in Adelaide we are known as the "City of Churchs" as well as being the driest state in the driest continent in the world. And having one of teh largest populations of great white sharks in the world. Also some of the best wine regions in the world.

I have spent most of my life here except for 2yrs in Townsville and 6yrs in ACT. I like it here as our weather is quite good and some great fishing but the hunting side of things is a far cry from that in the northern part of Oz.

Well Newcastle was famous for steel and coal. Ummm, Silverchair are from here, Les Darcy, Dave Sands, Mark Richards, Tap Dogs, apparently Marcia Hines married a Newcastle doctor and lives here. I live here because i was born here and have no choice. Its only a stones throw from the country and another stones throw from sydney. Thats all I got ......

well im a very proud melbourne boy. i live by the bay in east brighton, and my girlfriend in the beautiful hills of balwyn, so i have the best of both. we are both only 20 mins to the city, so its a quick train ride for a boozey saturday night with friends.
if i want to go hunting its about 45 minutes to a large rabbit/fox property and 15 minutes further to some nice sambar country.
the family also have a place in blairgowrie on the mornington peninsula which is great in summer.
i think melbourne is known for its cultural diversity, restraunts, nightlife, unpredictable weather and friendly people
to sum it up i think melbourne is bloody fantastic and i wouldnt want to live anywhere else

(and if anyone bags it, expect a razor sharp broadhead to fly their way!)

One of the first major gold mining areas which is what placed it on the $10 note(original paper note)..Mudgee-gulgong now known for its wine and honey production..Neither Coach or I grew up in Gulgong but still an okay place to live,,and only a twenty minute drive to go hunting :D

I live on the Murray River 20 minutes from Albury-Wodonga.

A stones throw from the river, 15 minute cycle to some of the best wines on Earth, 25 meters to fish and game, 10-60 minutes from Deer, Goat, Fox, Rabbit and Pig, 45 minute to the snow, 20 minutes to city shopping and lifestyle, 20 minutes to Lake Hume with all this surrounded by nature's wonderland.

Lived in the major cities before, give me this lifestyle anyday.

Only thing missing is the sea and maybe a bit more Tropical weather.

2. River beds have the highest aluminium level in the world.

For the life of me I cannot figure out what one has to do with the other, oh well I'll just crack another tinny while I think about it.
