Well went out for a look today. diddnt see anywhere near the numbers we had on previous trips and after a bit of a chase i managed to bowl over this beauty. Not a bad chrissy prezent i must have been a good boy :wink:

great job macka :wink: . i went hunting with ben this morning when he shot the hare. we saw a fare few dear but couldn't get within range of anything.

Hey thanx for your kind words. I think a T/C goat will finish the year off nicely for me :D Yeah your right dave it is awsome scenery but all the flinders rangers are beautiful like that. i have lived here all my life and kind of take it for granted and dont notice it as much. That spot is 50 mins drive from home.

Does anyone notice the bodysize of the bugger? man he's a monster bodied goat! i would have said somwhere between 80 to 100 kg dragging him onto that rock was a struggle even with me and my brother. Some billies sure get solid.

Just boiled the horns and did the douglas score they are 100 neat! now i am happy! its so hard to get a goat to crack 100dp here the radical twists made the smallest horn 27.5inches long! and its only a 30" spread.

If he wasnt so smelly i would have almost thought about the skin. almost looks like a cow now u mention it lol! When i did the retreval of my broadhead i cut a backstrap off just to get into the ribs and it was about as round as a cricket ball. A lot different from the nannies i took meat off. they were hardly worth getting the straps because there was stuff all there.

In TT (Trophy Takers all heads are measured green) this way you don’t lose any score, because when you boil any goat you lose at least 2 points (2 inch’s)

So did you measure it before or after you boiled it out mate?

Hey peter nah i measured it after i had boiled out the skull i am still happy with the score though but if it could have gone better its a bit dissapointing.
