Ben, try just using the adder points behind a field point.
thats what I have been using and I havn't had any problems with penetration, or with the stopping power either.
they really barrel the rabbits over :)

at this point in time i've recovered 11 rabbits in a bit over 2 months.
i've only been bow hunting for around 2 months and i'm lovin it.

i'm now moving 2 my dads 4 a year or sometin, but theres plenty of pigs and goats down there, so i'll try 'n' get something in 2006. shooting rabbits has become a chaw now so at least it won't be a burden while i'm gone.

great job 2 every1 especially macka, because he seems so commited 2 his passion.

thanks, i will be in touch in 2006.

Hey tim and ben looks like your both doing really well on those bunnies. Like mozza said just use the adder heads behind a field point and they work awsome (thanx for the heads mozza)

great job 2 every1 especially macka, because he seems so commited 2 his passion.

Thanks for the phrase tim , you and ben deserve it just as much as me and i hope where your moveing has as much or more game as where you are now.

Dont bother about who is better at what when bowhunting its the time spent in the bush that makes you a better hunter and time spent on the target but that makes you a better archer. I still get a rush when shooting rabbits as they can be harder to hunt than most goats. I am enjoying your pics and stories and hope to hear more from you in the future. I'd love to see a few more pics of those rabbits you have shot :)

Hey Stoka, i shoot release and the shot was from 15 yards (about 12 metres i think, correct me if i'm wrong)

heres the story,,,,,

The Anzac rabbit

I woke to the sound of my mum typing on her computer when i decided to go for a little look around outside for a few rabbits with my bow.

After seeing about 15 rabbits from my bedroom window i was off.

Following the usual trail i take that goes past all the rabbit warrens, i spotted a bunny about 10 yards away from me that had just been spooked and was sitting at the edge of his hole wondering what was going on so i drew my bowstring and just as i aimed he ambled into his hole :x

I then proceeded onto the 3rd warren along from that spot and was greeted by about 6 or 7 rabbits thumping at me and dissappearing down their holes :!:

But 1 decent sized bunny popped his head back up out of the hole to see what had spooked him, but by that time i had my bo at full draw and.........thump, i had made a good shot on his head and he just rolled not even a metre from the hole and it was all over.

I gutted and skinned the rabbit then froze it so my dog could atleast get a feed from us with out having to go to our neighbours place for a feed  ......fat thing

I didn't eat the rabbit cause i did not want to cook it up

Also the bunnies are real skittish at my place cause i've shot at all of them

Cheers,Timdegrey  [/u]
