View Full Version : Serving help
Just put on a new string and D loop and am having trouble with the serving seperating where the loop is tied below the arrow.
Never shot with a loop before and my setup has a brass nock above arrow and nothing below the arrow, do I need a knot or nock below the arrow as well to stop the D loop from pulling up on the serving?
Thanks heaps
Wellsy
Yep I agree with coach reserve and put tie on nocks on instead above and below the arrow.I have this set up on mine and it has not moved in almost a year.
Cheers KIM
I've re-served and will try brass nocks above and below the arrow, until I broadhead tune in the morning. i will then change the brass nocks for tied nocks.
Thanks
Wellsy

Two brass nocks will probably cost you 4-5fps.are you sure you want to tune your broadheads first? before you change to tie on nocks.
I figure it will be easier to adjust the brass nocks?

You can wind the tie no nocks up or down, personally I just use a loop.

I've seen too many loops move Wareagle to trust that method , but hey if it works for you , alls good . :D
As for the 4-5 fps , I've never heard an animal complain that the arrow wasnt fast enough
Maybe not,but you might have heard someone swear as their arrow went under the animal.

I tie my peep in,that fashion, except the last two knots go in to the middle, so I don't burn the string, when I melt the ends.
With a tied in nock,I come back over it,stop before the last knot, than come back to the middle, double knot ,burn.A trick is to cut the end thread with a pair of scissors, not a blade, a blade tends to pull the knot out of shape.

Yeah Wareagle,
I always use a blade, and it always pulls the knot apart, or messsss up the thread. Just didnt occur to me to use scissors!
