subscription...

I'm keen on it for the back packing advantages :D...but am keen to know the hurt on the hip pocket before I even think a bit seriously about it...

I do have reserves as to how long it will be legal for given it's resemblence to a "pistol" type wepon (yeah I know it still takes two hands to use it, but it's the size and type of grip I'm mostly talking about)

I also wonder about how touchy it is to form error in the "up and down" movement of the wrist...ie, is it forgiving to vertical wrist torque...as this is one of the major considerations when looking at the ATA of a bow isn't it?

I was looking at it last night ,and i thought if they stuck it on a rifle stock xbow style that you could use full length arrows.

I emailed Liberty about an australian dealer and the costs of the bow , This is the response.

Try it out for almost free ($18.00) plus return shipping.
If interested call me 408-983-1127 Name is Howard

In most cases there is not a Liberty dealer in your area,
and if there is, most do not have a draw selection (3 to 6 bows)
or adquately service the bow (no17” bow press or Hooter Shooter).
Until such time that dealers commit to sales and service of the bow
I suggest buying direct. There are a few good dealers, but very few.

Here are the 5 reasons to buy direct from us:
1) In most cases you save about $60.00 in State Sales Tax.
2) You have the advantage of the 35 day return policy.
3) To solve difficulties you deal directly with the inventor.
4) The accessories are close to cost, you save close to $90.
5) In case of a problem with the bow, most dealers send it to me anyway.

Some people love this bow and shoot perfectly right out of box, others find
the first day of shooting it a little strange and by the third day they would
never part with it. Walking into a dealer and shooting the wrong draw
length bow for 10 minutes or just drawing it back will not convince you.
GIVE THIS BOW A FAIR TRIAL
To date only 11 out of 376 bows have been returned and only 5 of the 11
were for shooting issues.

The Liberty 1 ___________________________ $689.
Basic Package includes: Vital Gear bow sight, 3 peep package,
Silencer Kit ( 2 Sims & 4 Bow Jacks), and
Whisker Biscuit is __________________________$69
Total of the above; which is a ready to shoot bow is $758.00.

Options:
Bow Case ________$39 Shipping is $10.50 continental US
String Changer_____$6 COD fee $7.50.

The problem with that is it can take 2 weeks for it to get here and I am unsure of the return time. You would not want to keep it in your possession too long.

I'm sure if you wanted to really try the bow and spoke to them about the shipping times something would be worked out...

Man I had one of these 10 months ago and nobody did anything but laugh ??
http://www.archery-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=150362&highlight=#150362

I sent mine back ! Especially when I found out I had to buy all the gear including the bow Press just to be able to service it was a bloody expensive bit of kit then !
Who could possibly want anything smaller than a Mathews XT ?

Yeah Pat,

I put 100 plus shots through it, it just was not a nice thing to shoot IMO.

You even need their peeps etc, I think I was creeping into the $1500 -$1600 for the whole 9 yards.

Take down Bow Press - All other bow
presses do not work and may damage
bow. Press folds into a 6.5"x12"x20" pkg.
Weight 15.0 lbs. Throw it in the trunk.

Persoanly rather spend my money on a 31" CR331 ROSS sweet bita gear !

No blaspheming at All Pat  ,

I simply meant if I was going to blow some money on something different and new it would be a ROSS, I got a good look at one a while back and I would go so far as to say it was as good as a Mathews, not better but as good for sure !
The one I got to look at and play with had been used a lot as it had been all over the world, had some knocks and dings and shot like My new XT.

Now this Dude was a Personal friend of the ROSS people, so weather his was a Hand finished job with extra care taken I cant say, but was a nice bit of gear to shoot, even Right handed when your a lefty !

Cheers

bill how long have ross been around?

ive seen a few advertised and a couple blokes on the usa forums give em a good rapt..

do we have any dist in oz??

id be dubious[used that word twice now this week] about the new elite they are talking about, since they are designed from the same bloke that designed bowtech,...after reading all about him and his antics etc,was a real life soap opera...

but hey they could be good stuff...i like to trust the big guys that have been around for a while..mathews,hoyts,bear/jennings etc..

pat :D

Willy_R

Trust nobody "Buy Mathews"

But if we are talking expensive toys like the Liberty thang !

I rather spend some dosh on a Bow that at least was usable and convetional by design !

Yeah the Elite does nothing for me personaly looks bitsa ! And what about the Cams they Make for Mathews Bows ? the Nerve !

cheers Willy_R 8)
