I am looking into going to a rope release, from a tab.
Could someone give me an idea as to the changes I'd need to make to tuning- form, etc.

Also suggestions on a reasonable priced rope release would be great.

Thanks,

Mark

G'day Coach,
Well, as I understand it( bearing in mind my user name!!) I'll need to get less equipment to go to a rope as opposed to a calliper."Corse, I could be wrong.
I have a compound with a cheap flipper rest on it, and I'm not getting as good accuracy as I think I should.
I realize it wont make me a marksman, but after watching the videos I reckon I can be better.
That was a long winded explanation for a short question. Sorry!

OK, if all I'll need is a shoot thru rest , I reckon I'll go Calliper(.44) they're cheap and seem ok.
I tried a calliper on Sunday.Couldnt get within 4 feet of the target (122)!!
so, yeah, I'll look on Eastons sight!
I've seen how to do the loop thing on a video. Thanks for the help.

PS When you say you can shoot off the string, would this cause wear or pinching?

Well,
I ve put the peep sight in and the rest.Lined up the sights with string and the rest.
The peep seems to be a problem (* or I should say i'm having a problem with the peep.) I am shooting much better with it,but it keeps rotating 1/3 turn .The string keeps turning into my line of sight. Is there a way to minimise this problem? I've seen the rubber tube alignment thingies, but hear conflicting reports on 'em.
Its a Shurz a peep if that makes a difference.

Also,I have found that I am getting a rubbed area on my wrist from the release. Normal? Or am I doing something wrong?
Any help gratefully accepted!!

Roger that,
Thanks.
I will go out again now, and see if I can work out the peep problem.
As for the wrist......... I shall overcome!!
Thanks again.

Yep, Thanks Coach.Moving the strands around did fix it! But then after 20 arrows, the brass nock point thing slid up the string. How can this happen?
Because of the caliper I guess, but I havent read of anyone else having this problem.
I await your sage advice!!

Thanks
