View Full Version : conservation parks?
just a quick question, can we hunt for pigs in a conservation park in QLD? i know we cant hunt in a national park. i have rang the DPI & asked, who then put me through to the EPA, who then put me through to the city council because none could give me a definite answer. anyone know for sure?

im pretty sure your local council wont be too helpfull with giving you access for bowhunting in a conservation park
i have about 500 acres of conservation land that my place backs onto.
ive had the local council animal control officer out here trapping wild dogs, and i had been ,at the time given permission to destroy any caught in the traps, over the weekends, when he was off duty.as it would have been the full weekend in the trap until they were dealt with.
i asked about the bow,he said no way,the only way was a rifle,of a minimum callibre,to make it as humane as possible, according to him anyway
im not sure if this would normally happen,or if he was allowed to give permission?but i assume he was.
and unfortunatly my services werent required
and it should be noted that this wasnt permission to hunt the land
