i know not many hunters like to give up their hunting spots which is fair enough, but i was wondering if anyone knows of any propertys around the townsville area that i would be able to go hunting pigs on, obviously after meeting the owners & having a chat. just using bow, definatly no guns or dogs. there is nothing worse than being this keen to get out there but not having places to go! :?

Are you a member of a club up there Phil?

That would be the best way to start IMO.

phil have u checked into clubs that way??? also grab some topo maps, look for propertys on rivers, look up yellow pages, graziers, make some phone calls or write some letters...think about what u r going to say first,if ur polite etc,u just never know...the worst thing they can say is no...as u r hunting with a bow often graziers will give u a go....even go for a drive......all the best mate... :D

when i was living in innisfail i had the same problem but now i've got two properties to hunt up past mareeba where i used to work. The hogs aren't real thick but that just makes me hunt harder  i can also shoot as many scrub bulls as i want on one of the properties.
