I would hate to have to get that stuff off the bare shaft if a repair was in order.

I use Loctite 401 on vanes and feathers.

No wraps Mick..It takes a little to get off but but a few light scrapes with a knife and a quick sand and your ready for more...I use it because of it's gel quality rather than runny...

I use either 401 or 406, but mainly with feathers & after I have painted the shaft, this makes it pretty easy to remove busted fletches for maintenance :D

AAE Fastset and AAE vanes with activator on bottom. I have to cut the vanes off if they get damaged. The Fastset also works with feathers.
