Okay all we share a like for the bow but what else are you into when your not hunting??? Weather permitting I'm outdoors, off shore fishing, camping on the beach at Doule Island or on the rivers around here or buzzing around the creeks chasing prawns, crabs and fishing :D :D :D

I love to fish! All types from small creek bass fishin to offshore fishing chasing the bigger finned varieties, but i dont eat fish, it tastes like saltwater with bones to me
I'm a keen birdwatcher aswell and take my 'simpson day field guide' out on my trips and love to tick a box for a new bird.
Scuba is another love of mine. I spent 8 weeks in fiji last year and dived with 4meter plus bull sharks while the dive guide hand-fed them, there were no cages, just 3mm of neoprene between me and some massive sharks!
Anything outdoors or on the water and u can count me in! 8)

Cheers, Cam

Well I enjoy hunting fish with the rod and reel, speaking of which am waiting for a big gale forced wind in the next few days and I'll be off chasing the salmon off the local jetty :D as when it's blowing and on a high tide they come inside the reef which is all of 3m off the end of the jetty. And every time they do a lap up and down the reef everybody is hooking up and it's elbow to elbow on the jetty. :P
My wife and I also enjoy camping and snorkling (no camping for a while now that baby is almost on the scene.)
I also enjoy making things with wood, I have a wood lathe.
Making home brew.
Doing renos to the house.
And my fav past time of all is SLEEPING

Like everyone else here I like to camp, fish when I am not hunting. But now I like to play on the Blue Meanie (see pic) It is excellent fun.

I am going in a mud bog race this week end so it will be a blast. It is also great for hunting transport.

it seems a lot of people have similar interests. currently, im almost through my second bottle of red for tonight, and am quite gone. 8)
and i cant wait for the cool weather to set in, cause i look forward to brewing some nice lagers. i gave piggy some homebrews, but haven't heard whether they were good or not, so im guessing they were pretty ****e. i can't seem to get bottles properly sterile, so the beer goes off after a month, but the misses' underground cellar makes a great little brewing area.
when im not drunk, or making things to get drunk, i like to go spearfishing, cook for me and my mates, play cabelas hunting games on ps2, keep tropical fish, get drunk in melbournes beaut cbd, have 3 harassment claims put in against me at work, watch funny movies on a cold winters night, waste all my money on things at bunnings i'll never use, build things i'll never use, and sleep in on sunday mornings.

I love hunting land with bow or rifle, but when unable to get out bush spearfishing really does it for me.
No shallow water hand spear stuff.
Blue water hunting- hitting the blue water 30kms off shore or diving rock pinnacles in the middle of no where, hanging off the top of a rock wall dropping down into the depths. Chopping burley and diving the slick in sharky waters certainly clears the head. Nailing big jew, kings, dolphin fish and other quality trophy species. Very selective hunting, somtimes going weeks without pulling trigger. Then out of the depths comes a monster and it's on, but on a single breath at 20+m depth you can't afford to get too excited.
Been shooting rifle's since 5yrs, spearing fish since 8yrs, found the bow at 23yrs. Love each option equally and at 29 am looking forward to showing my kids the hobbies that keep me sane.

Love surfing, and occasionally line fishing too.

Life is good when you know what you love.

mate, im not sensitive at all. i reckon the beer was ****, so i wouldn't be upset if you did too!
but it won't stop me trying. it's coming up to lager season, and i reckon ill pull off some ace brews.

im always up for a hunt. :D have to spend some quality time with mrs bear this weekend and shop for a recurve, cause im off anzac weekend to hunt a property near benalla. it has tonnes of rabbits, half black ones, and fallow and sambar. (and i'll steal some hops for the brews  )
if your up for a hunt on it with me and my mate, please do
i reckon its only about 2 hours from your place.

carl, the stand-up game is no good without the ground game. when you combine boxing/kickboxing with jiu-jitsu/submission wrestling you will be invincible! (except for sneak-O's, then theres no defence) :(

AdamK, I've been diving for 22 years and only just recently had the chance off Lizard Island to have a go at the blue water dives. Man I'm sure they could hear my heart beating back on the boat, the adrenalin certainly does get going when your trying to work out if your the hunter or the hunted, its a very surreal fealing floating around in the middle of nothing......

Just retired from competitive Body Building, still train just as hard.

Own and run my own Gym which doesn't leave much time for anything else.

When I do get time I love playing with my kids, Fishing, SCUBA diving, Motorcycles (riding and tinkering) and trecking through different countries/cultures.

Well afraid to say I have been a city slicker all my life. Fell into archery and bowhunting about a year ago (fell pretty hard) and that has kindled a love of the bush and outdoors.

My greatest hobby is spending time with my beautiful wife Julie and our kids Jakob 7 & Ella 12 weeks. Some days it makes it hard to want to do anything else (like go to work).

I did several forms of martial arts for 10-15 years (mainly kung fu) but have taken leave of that hobby for the past three years. (my joints are already suffering).

A high pressure job and lack of exercise lead to FAT Baz, so about 2 1/2 years ago I discovered weight training and won some nice prizes in an international body transformation comp thing. Due to glandular fever I had the last 12 months away from the gym and have only started back in the last week, so time to turn fat Baz back to six pack Baz.

Apart from that I run this forum and am on the committe of the Grange Bowmen.

Geez I think I was starting to dribble there :D

Well Baz, I wish you well in your 6 pack endevour, but I keep tell'n ya, weight training will force you to buy BIGGER shirts, I know!! :D

Barry
20-04-05, 01:20 PM
That may be true but at least I might be able to fit into my pants again

Was just kidding about the 6 pack, not that keen these days but less than a carton would be nice :D

humphrey
22-05-05, 08:50 PM
the brews better bitter than sweet. my lagers always end up too sweet. look out for a new hop around called topaz. its supposed to be about 8%AA but the aroma is absolutely amazing. they grow it in ne victoria on a property i hunt.

Well old age seems to have caught up on me[ not really, I'm still a young fella hidden in this old mans body]So I've given up bench rest shooting, saloon car racing, spear fishing, chasing girls, meeting my wife had something to do with that :D . But what I still like doing, is chasing banana prawns with a 6m cast net , when they on. and I do like my fishing,April last year I bought a 7.3m Whittley Sea Legend[the only good thing to come out of Vic. :D ] with all the bells and whistles,i.e. 2 hot showers, flush toilet stove and fridge / freezer.so far I've only been out in it 4 times with 14hrs. on the clock [ darn 3D archery] thinking about selling it

Like alot of the rest of you i like fishing and spearfishing...i love scuba diving. Just being out bush is a thrill for me. Never know what you'll see or hear. Used to race mountain bikes and ride motorbikes every weekend with out fail but dont have the money for that anymore. Used to do alot of martial arts too...thai boxing was my favorite. But nowhere near fit enough for that anymore! Although i still enjoy drinking beer and watching it. Sort of taken the back seat approach after few too many knocks to the head...between footy boxing and beer...well i had to give something up...so i gave up boxing and footy...kept the beer instead! One more thing Coach...what is this "stuff" you like to grow and why is it imediatly followed by "eating round the campfire" by the way went for traditional hungi in New Zealand couple of weeks ago...now im addicted too!

The outlaws bought a holiday house at smiths lake in nsw. Underneath the balcony they found the place decked out in black plastic with a drip hydroponics system and U.V. lights... I'm sure that was for tomatoes.
