View Full Version : SPECIAL - ONE WEEK TO GO
Hi all. As you are all aware the Bowdenders of the Great Divide Archery Club of Walcha is holding a Deer Hunt raffle for March this year in the Rutt. (Please see sticky for details).
This Raffle is to raise funds for our new club for purchasing club bows, targets, building toilets and showers etc.
To show our thanks to the Management of this site for advertising for us to help our club, we are going to donate $2 for every ticket sold to this site.
We are offering a super special for the last week for the Bowhunters Group of Australia members.
Ticket prices are as follows:
1 Ticket $20
3 Tickets $50
7 Tickets $100
10 Tickets $150
People who are interested in winning this amazing hunt for 2 hunters for 6 days in the rutt in beautiful Walcha, please email me at jwo30224@bigpond.net.au.
As there is only 1 more week to go, direct deposit would be the ideal payment method for tickets. Also, as it can take 2-3 days to clear in our account, the last buying day will be Monday the 27th Feb.
The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday the 1st March.
Thanks to those who have already purchased tickets. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Cheers Jo
Thanks to those who have already purchased tickets. Your support is greatly appreciated.
It seems a bit rough to me that those who supported early on have their support so much appreciated that they have to pay more than those who leave it 'till the last minute.
Anyway, I hope you get enough out of the raffle to reach your intended total guys.

hey guys i think thats a bit rough..the value of the tickets for the hunt is very generous, and it seems they didnt get much support so they are trying to get some more interests..lets not worry about a few bucks and look at the big picture...they are trying to raise money for their new club.......
just my thoughts...
ill put my hand up for some more, who else wants in...
cheers pat :D
Thanks Pat. You are spot on. The tickets were cheap enough anyway and we do need to raise more funds.
On the point of donating $2 for every ticket sold, that will be coming out of OUR pockets not the ticket money.
For those who feel this is unfair, what would you expect us to do. If we do not reach our target then the hunt will be donated to the winner out of our own pockets, not from raised funds. The reason for this raffle, is to offer you all a chance at a great hunt for minimal costs and to raise funds for our club.
We have done this for a reason, not to rip anyone off. :?
Jo and Scott
I'm in for some more.
PM sent

personally i dont see the problem..i dont even know jo/scott except for this forum, but i can see that they are trying hard to raise funds for their club,as we have all done ourselves...and i do know at our club,we have done raffles every shoot, and at the end if there is a few tickets at the end ,hard to move we wuold sell them off a little cheaper just to move them...
same if u go to any markets shops etc,at the end ,they often drop their prices to move whatever they have...ive never had anyone complain etc,as imo its all for a good cause, its for a local club, not the golden casket.,lotto etc...
u can see they are even taking money out of their pockets to donate to the forum,i dont know if that is required, but thats not my business...
as i said before lets look at the big picture here, its for the good of archery,a new club etc..but hey thats my thoughts , and as always u r all welcome to urs..
best of luck guys, cheers pat :D :D

and i didnt realise all the facts either....
lets get back on track, good luck with the raffles..cheers pat... :D

Sent you a PM, Scott and Jodi
Hey,
Don't get me wrong everyone.
It was just an observation.
I know the Jo and Scott are doing a great job, and believe me, if i could convince "she who must be obeyed" to let me buy some more tickets, i would.
I would LOVE to have a deer hunt. And that's the whole point of this thing, isn't it?
Like i said originally, i hope they reach their target. :)

Sorry about my "whinge". Sometimes i only open my mouth to change feet.
No apologies required Puk. I guess we are now a bit more enlightened on the legal side of holding a raffle. Maybe next time we will be better prepared.
Thanks guys.

Jo,
If I could get time away from my business (lost two staff in the last couple of months) I would be all over it.
Having trouble even getting a local hunt in at the moment.
Next time.
Good luck with the raffle.
Barebow. PM not recieved. Can you please resend it. Thanks.

Great stuff guys. We've had a great response. Don't stop now. Only 4 1/2 days to go. Our target is within reach.
Cheers Jo
Sorry Jo,
The minister of Fun and Finance won't allow the obtainment of any more tickets!!
Cheers Tim
Ministers!!! Who needs them.
Besides, Maybe you already have the winning ticket number!!
Jo
With my luck I could buy the only ticket in a raffle and still lose :D
Cheers Tim
Ministers!!! Who needs them.
To what type of minister are you referring Jo?
Puk 8)
Having a bit of fun Puk. I am assuming that Timbo was referring to his partner, so I thought I'd go along with it. I know that Scott says the same about me. And I'm sure I fit the profile. Nothing else mean't by it. No offence mean't. :(
Jo
No i agree with you.
It would take more than that to offend me.
A shotgun would do it, or a broadhead in the bum.
Puk 8)
Or possible a head in the broad bum
I was indeed refering to the BOSS, She who thinks she must be obeyed, the other half or the wife.
Cheers Tim
O.K.? Now what are you saying about my bum?
I know what you were talking about, i was just being a fool. It helps pass the time between hunts. :( (And until we find out who won this raffle)
For a hunter i ain't all that patient.
Puk 8)
Don't worry guys. Not too much longer now till.
