G'day,
I'm using a Shurz a peep at the mo. but I'm finding it turns randomly, and is never quite right.
I havent read good things on the tubing aspect, and I have the factory string at present.
Fletcher tru peep maybe?
Mark
i use a fletcher tru peep at the moment, its been pretty good so far :)

I use a Fletcher Tru Peep as well.
When I got it I drilled it to fit exactly around my sight housing.
You can buy them to different sizes but I decided to get the smallest aperature and drill it to suit my needs.
This matching of circles gives better accuracy and, with a large sight housing, more light and better view of your target.

Fletcher tru peep for 3d and the same drilled out further for hunting
If your peep is rotating! it is not set correct! if a normal string move a strand or two to the other side of the peep and adjust from there if a twist string rotate the string or cable accordingly hope this makes sense
I use a fletcher true peep also (I think) is that the one thats has no tube. I've been using it for some time now and never had a trouble. Thats untill I drew back on a good red this year at 19meters and it turned. As soon as I got back to camp I changed it for a peep tube one and now wouldn't ever go back. 1000s of shot with it and it just happened to move for what ever reasons when I drew back on a dream trophy. Adam,
Sometimes when I take my bow out of it's soft case, after carrying it, the peep has moved.
What I do when at full draw is I nudge the peep back into alignment with my nose.
Only had to do it a couple of times but it works.
Now, when I first nock an arrow, I connect the release and twist the nock on the string.
This seems to fix the problem.
Rather do this than have a peep tube come adrift at the wrong time.
After my experience with the old peep Im sticking to my peep tube. Its the good stuff that I have never had a problem with. Or I might go back to the other peep if I start using a ultra nock to keep it aligned.
I change from using tubing to the True Peep and havn't had a problem (yet) with it turning.

Now look what youv'e gone & done, made me admit that at one time I used a com...comp........compou.......compound, there said it! For what it's worth, my opinion, tubes are what's in tyres, & as most have said, if your peep's turning you need to look at set up , DON'T blame the peep.

Yeah Warlocke, I move mine with my nose too. Feels a bit stupid but it does the job.
I've tried the string strand moving thing.Sometimes it works, sometimes not so good.Sometimes it works for a few arrows, and then it twists again.
I get the impression a Fletcher tru peep could be the go.
The rubber tube idea is good, but I get the idea it's a little unreliable, breakage wise.
Having never used these sights I am open to correction though!
Mark
The tubing can break quite often. But it depends on what tubing you use as the rubber ones perish quickly but the sylicone ones last a lot longer.

I use a Fletcher true peep, there is nothing worse than lining up that once in a life time trophy, than WHACK, peep tubing coming back and slapping the hell out of your face. Also ther is little to that goes wrong with the Fletcher true peep IMO.

I actually use the same as Grunter does. Pretty much for the same reason. Got my son to change as well, he pretty much had no choice as I paid for his new bow and to set it up. Although the wife wont give up her peep with the tubing no matter what I say.

I am using a Speciality Archery Hooded Ball Peep I can use it as a normal peep or put the clarifier back in for target when I am using a scope.
The Fletcher True Peep as already been said is a good peep aswell.
There is no way I would have a peep tubing on my bow I value my eye sight too much.
