Howdy ,
I am wondering if anyone has a system for changing to heavier arrows with broadheads ,from target points.
I changed from 55 75 to 75 95 with broadheads today and was amazed at the drop.
Mark
Why did you change to a stiffer arrow mate.If the field tips are the same weight as the b/heads you just use the same arrows. Also the stiffer shafts should not really weight that much more if the head weight is the same.

G'day Kim,
I have 130 gr.ribtek and a couple of 100gr? outbacks on the stiffer arrows.
The field points are .........Dont know. Just ordinary ones!!
Would it be better to go to a 55/75 instead?
Mark
Mate I have one set of arrows that I shoot out of my bow with field tips and come the hunting trip I just take the tips out and put the b/heads in and away I go.As long as the point all weigh the same they should fly the same (if your bow is tuned right). What bow are you shooting and what are the settings?

Its a Martin Jaguar.58 lb on it . Nap 800 rest, 4 pin sight and a caliper release.
I havent tuned the bow *( only had it a month. )It shoots well. But shooting broadheads is alot different to field points!

Fine tune the rest and it will shoot the broadheads the same as field points. Each type of broadhead will need to be tuned in.I can shoot from 85 to 175 gr broadheads to the same point at 20 yards on my compound after tuning the rest.
Start by paper tuning for points at 15 to 20 yards..Then
Shoot a group of points then broadheads and move the rest to make the broadhead go to the same place. Then repeat with each broadhead make. You should be able to make any/all broadheads hit the same point as the field points if they are spining true.
Sometimes there will be a brand that will not tune with the others but that is rare.
The adjustments you make will be very small and as you add new broadheads to the mix adjustments will be smaller.
Now forget paper tuning, as it is only a starting place.
It will need to be sighted in after tuning .
