I still feel sorry for that Kelpie! Poor hard working sheep dog!

As I stated before Coach he aint no farmers dog. The property owner was really happy that I bagged his chook killer. He had told me about him before and I did ask him if it was a neighbours dog and he and one of his neighbours that was there at the time confirmed that it was indeed a feral dog.

21-07-05, 09:59 PM
koool how did you go with the boomerang gettin game

bear
26-07-05, 03:46 PM
It was quite a challenge as I had to make the boomerangs first with an aboriginal mate of mine who schooled me in this true art. He has tradional links from the gulf country but lives in the topend but the method was similar. U use three b/rangs and when u get get close enough to the goose u clap the b/rangs togethers to make a loud clap this spooks them and as they lift just above the ground u throw all three b/rangs, this improves the hit rate. After many tries I have taken about 10 best was 4 with one throw, and the boomerangs don't come back!

BEAR

Adam you are right in saying it was hot, 45 average at Longreach (But I recon it was hotter than that on the downs country). While I was there we had a barbie with the manager and his brother, ended up getting an invite to the brothers place. Seems he has problems with Rabbits, Hares and what follows? Cats, lots of them. With any luck I will get a trip in early this year chasing them. I can't wait.

G'day Pat. He shot him with a 60# reflex grizzly, gold tip garbon arrows, 130grain outback supreme.

He hit him in the magic triangle on the other side that the picture shows. We have cleaned the blood up in the pic for show on the site. He shot him at 25m right before dark. The bull had no idea we were there, ran about 100m and dropped.

It was unreal to watch. Can't wait to do it myself.

Nice work on the fox mate, good pic too. That bow looks like a sweet shooter, similar to the Switchback and Trycon. Any chance of a blurb on that rig after you get the hang of it! I really just want an 80# Switchback but I don't think that will happen hey.

Thanks mate, and yes I am still going to set this rig up for my style of shooting, so a d loop has been placed on the Tribute to give me the correct anchor point and my preferred amount of bent or straight arm, so them I’ll fine tune it and go shoot a deer with what do you say!

Then I’ll post pictures of the whole setup and stuff…blah blah

Congratulations on the camels Arra, I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to stalk a camel, the last photo of Glen Smith is a beauty, it put it into perspective how big the camels are ...Glenn...

On a recent trip interstate, me and four others shot about 100 Carp between us. Here are 3 that I lumped back for a photo, most were this size. 2 of the other guys in my hunting party were whipper snappers @ 10 and 12 years old, they had a ball!

Paul, the water was only around 400mm deep at waist level, everything below that was..... well..... as Hood described it! They (the Carp) were smacking into our legs everywhere.

Check out the younger of the boys who came along. Poor little buggers, their shoulders are around our waist height, so you know what they were mainly covered in:o.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/DAZOOL/DSCF7502.jpg

Keep an eye on Micks boys, when he learns to upload photos I'm sure you will see more of these upcoming hunters, they have a good teacher.
