Hi Guys,

Paul & I have just got back our pre Easter hunt, we were after Reds but.......that is just a part of the story.

We got to the property early on Tuesday morning and in the dark headed up to the ridge. Last week the hills were echoing with Red stags roaring at each other, this week......nothing!

I don't know what happened, NP&W helicopter gunships, poachers, I just don't know but in the 2 days hunting we would have only seen 6 red hinds, 1 fallow hind and 1 red stag, very poor indeed!

We did see some nice pigs, Paul got a PB spotty boar and another good black boar and I got a medium boar. It was good to see all game arrowed went down within 30 seconds I think due to Paul and I practising every day in recent weeks.

Hi,
Paul is using Bear Razor lite (125 grain) and with a 50lb Mathews.

I use Blackstump vented broadheads with my old(20+ years) Hoyt Provantage Carbon Plus in 85lb.(I have just ordered a Trykon XL)

Interesting to note that Paul got the black boar with a frontal shot and even with the low poudage achieved remarkable penetration, the secret RAZOR sharp broadheads!!!!!!!
