ok guys heres a funny (and true) story i've heard over here at work one day: in hokaido -japans large and (comparatively)wild northern island, there is a fair amount of land set up as national park. some of these regions are famous for their large populations of asian bears. these bears are reported to be very agressive even when not provoked, and in one particularly bear infested park there is only one charted track to the top of the mountain. the bears in this park are so ferocious and numerous that this track has been set up for its entire length with a veryvery high voltage electric fence to keep the bears off the hikers. the really funny part is that the track (and fence on either side) is so narrow that when people are walking it and run into other hikers coming towards them, its so narow that often both parties get a good shock when they try to pass each other! this one always gives me a laugh when i think about it.

Yup, pretty funny. Sounds like something you would hear from the US.
