went for a look sunday and saw one massive buck. would be bigger than any i have even seen down the southeast! looked pretty similar to the 230 point monster a mate shot out of there with a rifle. got to 40m but then busted. Shot a billy myself and brownie shot a young billy for an awsome skin so we spent some time skinnning it as its going to be a floor rug or a quiver.

mate one day ull pull the big stag and then ull be hooked..

Hey pat yeah have shot a rusa stag that went 23 inches but atm i'm really after a fallow stag! They have finished rutting over in SA now well up here where i am so it looks like my only chance now is if i make the trip down to my southeast hunting grounds. :P moore deer than you can poke a woodys outback at. i have found a place i think i will put a treestand next year and see how i go with it because there are a couple well worn pads going past a suitable tree and its overlooking a clearing that is a stag hot spot. hopfully next year i will be home and be able to put some more time into them.

im missing my deer hunting big time at the moment

so many have been very successful,both trad and wheelies..

nah mate we pretty much just bumped into him when he was 40m away and yeah no time to shoot him let alone get the camera out. I got a pic of a spiker on the way out tho. i'll put that up.

here's a spiker that sat and watched us on the way out he casually walked into some thick scrub.
