What is everyone using?
I am shooting a Martin Cougar 3 at 60lbs (with the big cams it won't go higher) and 2219 XX75's and am thinking of moving over to carbons.
Is this a good thing?

Hey mate welcome to the site :D

I use carbons for two reasons the first is there alot flatter shooting then alloys so if i make i slight distance misjudgement it wont affect the arrows placement all to much (as long as im still in the ball park  ) and the second reason is there as tough as nails .

end of the day its what your confident with mate

I use carbons for both compound and trad gear.

i shoot alloys 2317.ive stayed with the alloys due to shooting alot of small game around the farms in the area and losing them in the grass,so i went and brought a metal detector about 4 years ago and it has definitly paid for its self.find them 9 times out of ten.carbons you have to spend a bit more time looking due to the smaller contact area.

when i was shooting compound i used to shoot aluminiums and had nothing but problems, but maybe that was just me. i had spine problems and could just never get any weight arrows to shoot properly. a mate has just gotten into archery and got a compound and is shooting carbons. they fly like a bullet, and are as tough as nails. they are also way more forgiving if you choose the wrong spined arrow for your bow. he's hit logs, bricks, rocks, and they always seem to be fine afterwards.

that being said, i have been shooting my leftover feathered aluminium 2315's of the shelf out of my 55# curve and am getting great arrow flight. i'll be getting a couple a dozen feathered arrows soon when i join a club but am too scared to make a change from what seems to work great.

in the end its whatever seems to work well for you. it might be a wise idea to purchase a few different weight shafts both aluminium and carbon and just spend a day shooting all of them and see what works best for your setup. :D
