View Full Version : bladerunner & liberty 1
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with either the bladerunner bows or the new Liberty 1? What are they like to shoot for hunting& does anyone know prices? Cheers, Phil.

The bladerunner I know nothing about. Willy_r had a liberty in the shop fow awhile so he may have some input.

I had an albeit brief go with a Liberty...not impressed...it went off like a cannon..was very awkward and the guy that had it although he indicated to me it was set at 70# with a 29.5 draw (similar to me) it was set at about 50# and about 26''. He obviously had no idea and my general impression was that it would take a month of Sundays to get used to it and I aint that patient  I understand however that Cashy shot it and briefly reviewed it in one of the issues of BHDU. Still IMO it looks like a cross between a slingshot and an egg beater and I think I'll stick with my Allegiance. :D

Had a client from Finland last year who turned up with a suitcase and no Bowcase...
I looked at him and said where's your Bow he looked back and said I'ts OK and patted his suitcase....I thought he said he was a Compound shooter not a Trad.
Anyway when we get out to the hunting property he opens his case and pulls out this tiny little compound (Bladerunner), I thought he was joking. A 70lb bow with more pully's than you could poke a stick at. He shot it well and it all worked well, I think from memory it was 27in axel to axel....You could never shoot it with fingers.
If I ever get another Compund I would consider one given the size of it and how it fits into small places. Pretty light too.
