View Full Version : 3 blazers enough?

Hi all.
I have seen a lot about blazers, am looking to move to them, but my jig only does 3 vanes or 4 in a >o< type formation, rather than at 90 degrees to each other (which i have noticed that a lot of people use)

My question.
Would 3x 2inch blazers with a helical be enough to stabilise outback supreme type broadheads or 3-blade heads? The >o< 4 vane formation looks stupid. I don't think it would work with my NAP QT1000 either.

Puk, I managed to tune Woody's heads with 3 X 2" Blazers no worries. They flew like darts (and impacted in the same place) and field points to 35m (my intended max. accurate hunting range). This was with a compound and drop-away rest. I didn't have a helical, just 4 deg, offset.

3x2 with a slight offset is all I use for the outbacks. :D

Thanks guys.
My jig clamp is right helical, so i will stick with it, but i won't be able to get too much helical over 2 inches. I might offset one a little.
Thanks again,

3 Helical 2 Inch Blazer work a treat with Supreme and Ribteks. :D

I shoot them through a Whisker Biscuit and have not had a problem. Just make sure you use FletchTite Premium....
