I've tried a rifle scope but it was to long only a little bit though.

Have ya tried the compact rifle scopes? Might work for ya. Just a thought.

You can pick up a Walther Red dot scope, with no magnification, and no specific eye relief and a weaver base mount for about $80 from Queensland Gun Exchange, It's not on the web, but in an ad in the Australian shooters Journal. Phone 07 3393 0933

a mate of mine had a holographic, and just bought a magnified scope.
He might be interested in selling the holographic if you want,
