The guy I made these for just asked me to fletch up some arrows but when he saw them he didnt seem to mind the bit extra.

No Glenn I dont bother with the clear as this guy shoots pretty well so the fletches will get ripped and will need to be replaced anyway,when this happens I can just clean them off with some thinners and redo them.
One thing I love about the trad style is the arrows I used to make with the cresting and stuff so to get a bit of a fix after making probley 10 doz arrows in the last month or so I couldnt help myself.....HE HE.

Kim does the paint add much weight to the arrow????????

Gaday Kim...do you paint first and fletch last or fletch first and paint last????

I paint first and then wait a couple of days for the paint to dry nice and hard.The paint only adds a grain or so to the weight of the arrow so it adds less weight than the wraps that you can buy to put on the arrows.
