Hi guys,
Whats the best way cut fibre optic cable? I am thinking a sharp knife and roll the cable whilst apply pressure or is there a better way?

Thanks.

Cheers Tim

I have seen one joined before and they polished the end for ages :? after cutting it so the light would not be distorted. I know it may seem a little over the top for a bow sight, but the more light you can get in the better.
Try cutting it and see, but just dont dull or scratch it when you cut.

I use a pair of scissors then slightly melt the end with a lighter to get a better pin head.

Light transmission is still good after this.

Thanks for the feed back guys. In the end I just placed them on the chopping block and cut them with a knife. I then bent them to shape poked them in the holes and with a heated knife tip (old pocket folder) squashed the tips flat.
They looked OK last night when I finished so will have to take them outside after work to check.
