Just a question, when i finish shooting with the recurve, always take the string off it, just something dad told me to always do. Im not exactly sure why though. If you were to leave the string on, would it harm the bow. Even if u warmed the bow up before shooting it?

Taking the string off when finished is a personal choice, I can't say that I have ever seen damage to a laminated bow by leaving the string on. I have bows that have had the string left on for a couple of years and they are still the same weight they were when first made, a lot of damage done especially to recurves is done when stringing them. I still have a 1973 Bear Kodiak Hunter I bought new and had it strung for 5 years once and only unstrung it to replace the string or adjust the brace height and it still shoots and is still 55#, but if your Dad said to unstring it then I would unstring it...Glenn...
