Due to negotiations failing on a bowquiver I was buying I made one instead.I had a compound quiver so added 2 brackets and made a rubber strip from a bike tube and it takes seconds to put on and and sits there great.I shot about 100 arrows with it on this arvo and it didnt budge. The bonus is it make the bow shoot even better as I think it helps reduce torque at the shot.I will prob cover the hood with some nice soft leather to make it look a bit more trad but am really happy with the results so far.

Nice Bow Kim , Nice Arrows Kim ! but the gaffer tape is just a bit much for me.

Sorry it just is !

It is a rubber strap mate not tape, the same as some of the bought quivers come with.I just wrap it around and tie a simple knot and and can take it off again in a few secs.I have tried some slide on quivers before and I think having the two anchor points affects the limbs. This way it does not affect the way the bow shoots.
I would never use gaffa tape on this bow mate you dont know me.

Yer PAT I have 2 of Glenns bows this one in 70# and another the same in 56#.I shoot the "Hammer"(the 70)better so it gets the most work.
They are amazing bows I also have a 68# huntsman and I think the 70# Defiant longbow is easier to draw and shoot.I would NOT sell or swap this bow for ANY other bow in the world period.

Mate I will get a Selway,I had one lined up but it fell through so until I track down another one I can use this one. They come up second hand from time to time so now I can just wait.

Pat the Huntsman is a VERY fine bow and I look forward to getting it back from Mark after some repairs as I need a takedown for my kit but the Defiant longbow just suits the way I shoot.I shoot a 745 grain arrow and at 25 mtrs make no allowance for distance. It is called the "Hammer" because of what it does to the closer 3d targets.I AM IN LOVE.......

Thanks Cling it holds enough arrows and stays put and I can take it off and on in a jiffy so does the same as the dearest bought ones.I will add a leather cover to the hood so it will look the goods also.
Cheers KIM

You should put both those bows on the scales mate, and see how the force draw curve looks. I find it hard to understand how a 70 pound longbow/flatbow can be smoother to draw than a 68 (?) pound recurve. The physics dont add up.

Yer mabey I should Curve but I prob wont I dont care much about that sort of thing but one thing for sure there is more to a bow than just physics I have shot other longbows at less poundage that did not come to anchor as easy as the Hammer so it is not always about whats on the paper.Yeah Yeah and if it is all in my head then thats ok too as most of instinctive shooting is confidense.
