They will do the job OK Pat!

Is the white "crown dip" one of those plastic wraps things?

I'm looking foward to seeing the photos where the arrows are looking a bit secondhand and leaning against a whopping big boar. 8)

mick, yes i do admit i cheated and threw on a plastic wrap..

well the grass has fallen a bit as its drying out,but its like tramping through ,i dont know how to describe it :?

bloody noisy anyhow.. :)

i found a great tree with a couple of angling limbs that make a nice natural stand to see all over the dam,but no piggies emerged today.. :(

ill take some pics next time, but it would make a perfect under 10 yrd shot on a boar wandering along on the edge of the dam rooting 8)

i even had my tgba cap for good luck :(

here s a quic pic after i climbed down at sunset,so good to just sit out there and watch the day come to a close 8)

just have to try again tomorrow

pat :)

Nice photo Pat. It won't be long before you get to test out one of those new arrows, living as you do, in such good hunting country. The plastic wraps look good. They would be practical too when you have to replace the fletches.

I was having another look at your Woomera bow and I notice that your Selway quiver seems to be sitting a fair way out on the limbs. Is the quiver actually sitting on the fadeouts or on the limbs? If it is sitting on the limbs, I'd be inclined to take to the inside of the rectanglar holes with a file and make them bigger, so they will fit well up on the fadeouts. I reckon that if indeed they are on the limbs (and this looks to be the case), it would really dampen the efficiency of the bow. :?

I like the "tiger stripe" bow socks too, by the way. 8)

Pat,

'fadeout's' are where the main materials (woods or whatever) handle section of your bow fade out into the limbs. Where the handle woods become ultra thin and become the start of the active lengths of the bow

So basically, you want the slide on quiver to be up against the handle more...

Though I'm not sure how far the slide on parts will allow you to move em :?

:D

Pat those arrows look good mate. Mick is right pat, your quiver is up on the working part of the limb, it would be robbing you bow of a lot of performance, as Mick said you need to file the ribber out bigger and slide the quiver up onto the riser section where the limbs aren't working. Just as long as the quiver is just up past the fadeouts of the timber riser, the bow will be a lot quieter also...Glenn...

mick, glen, rory, thanks guys for the advise,i will get onto it..

man im having a ball ,went out again this arvo,as i walk to the dam,i just practice on anthills on the way with my judo tip shaft.

i also run though 10 to 12 shots into my broadhead target before i go..

after reading that bryan ferguson book, aim small hit small,im feeling really good..just look at the spot and aim..

im only shooting 15 to 18 metres, but im pretty well hitiing what im aiming at..the woods just feel so right.

well no pigs again this arvo,b ut i checked my game camera and i did have what looks like a small boar ass just walking out of the shot,at around 5pm...i dont usually head over til 530pm :) it may be another one just b ehind him..this is a little overflow just above the dam i m watching, ive moved the camera down now..
