Luke not sure really but I just love stuffing around with differant ideas.
It weighs almost nothing and will be nice and cool to wear also. You can never have enough gear. :D The shafts have come up nice and I will do a write up on the differant paints and stains used to help the guys starting out cresting their woods.

I hear ya on the stuffing around front mate 8)

Are you going to line it with anything? Wool? Foam? To stop rattling or are you not gonna take it bush and keep it as a range specialty?

Keen to read about the paints you use too mate.

Luke :P

Yer its more of a range quiver I have the tube quiver I made for hunting and want to use a bow quiver more now but I am also about to make up little leather hoods to go on my b/heads so then I guess I could use this one also then.
I have done a far bit of experimenting with paints so it might help othera to know the brands.I had someone tell me the other day on a forum you can not use these paints together but they look fine me.

There's no doubt about you Kim, you're an innovator. Nice looking quiver. I've read about the use of woven cane quivers. I believe Howard Hill's very first quiver was a basket woven one. I'm not too sure how the arrows will sit in it with the pointy bottom end, they may tend to stick if you put many arrows in there. Why did you make it with a pointy bottom? :?

The cresting job on the shafts looks spectacular! 8)

Keep up the interesting and innovative ideas.

Thanks Mick for your comments I didnt have the right materials when I started it and made the long uprights out of bamboo I harvested and split into strips and I could only really pull them together like that but I made it long enough that it will have a foam plug put into the bottom so it will be flat inside and then I can push a b/head in there as well.Yes those shafts are turning out very nice indeed I have really taken my time with these and have a better idea what paints and stains go together.
