I recently bought a bow at an estate sale.
It's one of these.

Once belonged to a guy who resembled

Can anybody tell me anymore about this bow? Is it too traditional to hunt with?

Any pics of the actual bow you bought?

Yes, but bows seem a little bit difficult to photograph. Sticks are even harder. I added the kid for perspective. Here's 2 pictures. I made a string from 30lb test braided fishing line. It feels at least equal to the 70 lb. initial pull on my Browning compound.

I have seen a couple of these style of bows in second hand dealers here in Adelaide. I would have bought them BUT both had stress fractures in them and would only have been good for hanging on the wall which I didn't want them for decoration but rather to use. So the search continues.
